Love Or Hate - Chp 1

The classroom was quiet, save for the soft scratch of pens on paper as the professor droned on. Tucked away in the corner by the window sat a seventeen-year-old Omega with stormy blue eyes, completely focused on the lecture.

His long lashes cast soft shadows against his cheeks as his delicate fingers hurried across his notebook, capturing every key point. His lips were slightly parted in concentration, his brow furrowing whenever the professor picked up the pace. The warm afternoon sunlight streamed right through the glass, hitting his flawless skin and giving him an almost ethereal glow, flushing his cheeks a faint, pretty pink.

Across the room, the other boys weren’t paying a lick of attention to the lecture. Their eyes were completely glued to the omega.

He wasn't trying to distract them, but every time he pouted in confusion over a difficult note, a collective, silent sigh seemed to ripple through the rows. In an alpha-dominated world, he looked like a fragile doll the kind of beauty you wouldn't dare put a single scratch on. To his classmates, he just seemed too innocent for a world this harsh.

It wasn’t just the students, either. The faculty absolutely adored him. Despite being only seventeen, his sheer intelligence had allowed him to skip grades and land a spot early, sharing desks with people well into their twenties.

As the clock ticked closer to the end of the hour, the omega raised a timid hand.

"Mr. Han?" he asked, his big, hopeful bambi eyes locked onto the teacher.

"Can I please head over to Yoong-Ju hyung's department a few minutes early? I’ve already noted down everything."

The professor paused, looking at the perfectly filled notebook, and offered a warm smile.

"Alright, Teehyun."

With a quiet thank you, Tee packed his bag and practically flew down the hallways toward the campus cafeteria.

"Hyung!!!"

Hearing his favorite voice, Min Yoong Ju turned around. A rare, genuine gummy smile broke across his usually stoic face just in time to catch the overexcited Omega, who collided straight into his lap.

At twenty-five, Yoong ju was known as the university’s resident bad boy cold, blunt, and fiercely unbothered by anyone. But Tee was his sole exception.

Yoon ju wrapped his arms tightly around the younger boy's waist, burying his face in the crook of Teehyun's neck to inhale the calming, sweet scent that he had become thoroughly addicted to.

"Hyung, let go," Tee giggled, lightly pushing at Yoong ju's broad shoulders, though he didn't try very hard.

"Why are you bouncing off the walls today, hm?" Yoongi mumbled affectionately, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to Tee’s temple.

A pretty blush crept up Tee's cheeks as he beamed.

"Guki -hyung... Mumma called and said he’s finally coming back today!"

Yoong Ju's chest tightened. An instant, ugly wave of jealousy and uneasiness washed over him at the mention of that name, but he quickly forced a smile.

He couldn't bear to ruin the kid's mood.

"Is this the same Gukie you’re always talking about?" Yoong ju asked, his fingers gently tucking a stray lock of hair behind Tee’s ear.

Tee nodded enthusiastically, his blue eyes sparkling.

"Mm-hmm! Him."

"That’s great, kiddo."

But just as quickly as the excitement had come, Tee’s shoulders slumped. His gaze dropped to his lap, his fingers nervously tugging at the hem of his oversized sweater.

"He should be at the house by the time I get home... but hyung, I'm so nervous."

Yoong ju frowned, his protective instincts flaring when he noticed a sudden glint of unshed tears in the younger boy's eyes. It felt like a physical blow to his chest.

"Hey, Baby.. why are you nervous?"

Tee quickly blinked the tears away, offering a small, fragile smile.

"It's just... I haven't seen him in four years. That's all." He lied

Yoong ju knew there was more to the story he could hear the slight tremor in the boy's voice but he chose not to push. He didn't want to make him cry.

Yoong ju said, gently pinched Tee’s chubby cheek until the boy squeaked. "How about a strawberry milkshake to calm those nerves?"

The heavy mood vanished instantly.

"Yes, please!" Teehyun cheered, clapping his hands.

For the rest of the afternoon, They sat together over a tall glass of strawberry milkshake, Tee doing ninety percent of the talking as he rambled about anything and everything, while Yoong ju just watched him, his eyes filled with quiet, fierce devotion.

The heavy front door swung open, and Jong-guk stepped into the entryway. Tall, broad-shouldered, and carrying the undeniable, commanding aura of a dominant True Alpha, he looked every bit the Man of every Omega's dreams.

The moment his mother caught sight of him, she let out a choked sob and rushed forward with open arms.

"My son... you're finally home!" she cried, tears of joy spilling over her cheeks. Within seconds, his father and older sister joined the embrace, wrapping him in a tight, family hug.

Once the initial, emotional greetings subsided, Mrs. Jeon practically dragged him toward the dining room. The rich, savory aroma of home-cooked food filled the entire house, an instant remedy for a weary traveler. Jon-guk sat down at the heavy wooden table. To anyone else, his expression remained characteristically cold and unreadable,

The moment the first spoonful of his mother’s signature stew hit his tongue, the cold facade melted. Jon-guk let out a low, contented sigh, his sharp features softening as the familiar, comforting flavors burst over his palate but his expressions remain blank.

Watching him eat, his mother beamed with affection while Mr.Jeon was sitting hesitant.

"So," his sister broke the comfortable silence, leaning her chin on her hand with an inquisitive look. "How has life really been treating you out there?"

Jon-guk paused, his spoon hovering over his bowl as his expression turned pensive.

"Tough," he admitted, his voice deep and raspy. "The training, the deployment... it demands everything. But I learned a lot, and I’m grateful for the experience."

His father gave a firm look, while his mother squeezed his shoulder.

As they chatted and laughed over the meal, a rare warmth washed over Jon-guk. No matter how much he hated coming back but, this house was his sanctuary.

However, as the conversation flowed, the Alpha’s sharp eyes began roaming around the dining room. His gaze lingered on the empty chair, then flicked toward the hallway, subconsciously searching for a specific presence. Or rather, a specific someone.

"He's not home," his sister stated plainly, not even looking up from her plate as she cut her food.

Jon-guk’s jaw tightened. He flashed her a brief, icy glance before silently digging back into his stew, refusing to acknowledge the sudden restlessness in his chest.

Suddenly, the sharp ring of the doorbell echoed through the house. Mrs. Jeon immediately perked up and hurried to answer it.

At the sound, The Alpha's heart gave a sudden, violent thud against his ribs. He gripped his fork a little tighter, his ears straining against his will to catch the voices in the foyer.

"My baby! How was your day?" Mrs. Jeon’s voice cooed, followed by the rustle of clothes as she pulled the newcomer into a tight hug.

"Good! Yoong ju-hyung bought a whole bunch of sweets for Teetee," a sweet, melodic voice chimed back.

"Ah, sweetie, don't eat too many before dinner. It’s bad for your teeth."

"No, Mama, I didn't eat that many... look! I saved the best ones for you and Noona."

"Aww, thank you, sweet boy. Now, give Mama some kisses."

The sound of Tee’s bright, bubbly giggles echoed down the hallway, ringing loudly in Jon-guk’s ears. A strange, suffocating tension gripped the Alpha's chest, his knuckles turning white from how tightly he was clutching his fork.

"Dada! Noona!"

The omega burst into the dining room, his face lit up with a brilliant smile but the words died in his throat the moment his eyes landed on the end of the table. Sitting just a few feet away was the man he had been yearning to see for four long years.

Jon-guk looked bigger, more intimidating, and entirely striking, but his face was completely frozen in a cold stare as he idly scrolled through his phone, ignoring the entrance entirely.

Feeling a sudden wave of nerves, Teehyun glanced helplessly at his mother, who gave him an encouraging, gentle nod.

Taking a shaky breath, The omega took a few timid steps forward.

"W-welcome home, hyung," he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Jon-guk didn't say a word. He didn't even spare a single glance in the Omega's direction. The silence stretched, heavy and suffocating

Breaking the tension, Jon-guk abruptly pushed his chair back and stood up, his towering frame casting a shadow over the table.

"Mom, I'm exhausted. I'm going up to rest," he announced dryly. Without waiting for a reply, he turned on his heel and walked upstairs, the heavy thuds of his footsteps fading down the corridor.

Tee’s shoulders slumped, a deep, painful ache blooming in his chest. He pouted sadly, his bottom lip trembling slightly at the blatant ignorance.

"Hey, where are my candies?" his sister asked quickly, intentionally trying to distract the younger boy from his gloominess.

The omega forced a small smile, his hands diving into his cardigan pockets. "Here, I made sure to get your favorite." He flashed his signature, heartwarming boxy smile, trying to shake off the sadness.

"Aww, thank you! You really are the best baby brother," she cooed, leaning over to plant a fond kiss on both of his flushed cheeks.

"Hey, where is Dada’s candy?" Mr. Jeon chimed in, pouting dramatically from the head of the table.

The omega let out a genuine giggle,  "Sorry, Dada, I can't give you mine!"

"You naughty boy!" Mr. Jeon gasped in mock outrage.

The room filled with light laughter again.

"Fine then," Mr. Jeon winked playfully. "In exchange, you have to make a fresh cup of coffee for your old man with those pretty hands of yours."

The word coffee sparked an instant realization in omega's mind. A memory flashed of how much Jon-guk used to love his handmade coffee.

His heart fluttered with a sudden, renewed surge of hope. This was it this was his way to break the ice and finally talk to his hyung.

"Okay!" Tee said excitedly, his sadness completely forgotten. He turned and practically sprinted into the kitchen.

"Slow down! Be careful with the mugs!" Mrs. Jeon called out, shaking her head with a fond, helpless smile. "Aish, that boy..."

The Omega stood nervously outside the Alpha's door, his hands clasped tightly around a steaming mug of coffee. He had been summoned to the Alpha's room, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. He had heard stories of how the Alpha treated Omegas, and he didn't want to be on the receiving end of his wrath.

Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door. "Come in," a deep voice called out.

The Omega pushed open the door, his heart pounding in his chest. The Alpha sat at his desk, his expression unreadable.

"Mom I told you not to distrub----." He stopped in the middle when he noticed the person was not his mother, it was his stepbrother.

"What do you want?" he asked, his voice cold and distant.

The Omega took a step forward, his hands shaking slightly. "I-I brought you some coffee," he stammered, holding out the mug.

The Alpha couldn't help but notice how much the Omega had grown in the four years since they last saw each other. He had become even more beautiful, with his hair a little longer and his eyes a little brighter. His soft curves his body wasn't like a child anymore, he's grown up....beautifully. The Alpha tried to push aside the thoughts that were starting to form in his head, but he couldn't help feeling drawn to the Omega's beauty.

He knew he shouldn't think this way. It was wrong to be attracted to his stepbrother, But the Omega's presence made him feel things he hated, things he could barely control.

The Alpha struggled to keep his eyes from wandering over the Omega's body. He knew he shouldn't be looking at him like this, but he couldn't help himself. The Omega was too alluring, too tempting.

The Alpha raised an eyebrow, his expression softening slightly. "Is that so?" he said, his voice laced with skepticism.

The Omega nodded bitting his lips nervously he didn't had courage to match his ocean eyes with his fiery ones.

The Alpha leaned back in his chair, his eyes scanning the Omega's face.

"Did I asked for it?" He asked coldly.

The Omega gulped still looking at the floor.

"N-no."

"THEN WHY THE FUCK YOU BRING IT IN MY ROOM." He brusted out suddenly slamming on the table, standing up from his sit.

The Omega flinched very bad, just listening to his loud voice tears brimmed in his eyes.

"I-i thought y-you n-need---." He hissed when the Alpha held his fragile shoulders with a bruising grip.

"You are no one to take care of my needs." He gritted his teeths.

The Omega this time looked into his eyes which made the Alpha feel something inside his heart seeing that blue stormy orbs, he hates that feeling.

"You like m-my handmade coffee---."

"When I don't like you even a bit then how could I like your disgusting coffee."

His words were little too harsh for the fragile heart of the Omega. Its was more painful for him then the burnt hand he was hiding inside his pocket.

"W-why?" He sniffled looking so adorable.

The Alpha had no Answer of his question he also don't know "Why?"

He snatched the coffee mug from his hand.

"I will drink this now get out." He replied avoiding the question.

And this little thing made the omega much happy. That his hyung finally agrees to drink his handmade coffee.

"Thankyou." He said smiling wipping off his tears thats when the Alpha noticed his burnt hand.

"Now Go."

The Omega nodded and was about to go but stop when he remember something.

Before the Alpha could push him out he takes out something from his pocket.

It was candies.

"Its your favourite right? I bought candies for everyone today just because I wanted to buy these for you but I forgot for dada." He pouted.

The Alpha was speechless.

The Omega hold his hand hesitantly and place the candies in his palm.

"Good night hyungie."

After he left the Alpha was still standing in his spot staring at the favourite candies in his hand. He poked his cheeks and threw those candies in dustbin.

Then he went to freshup.

The Alpha was trying hard to sleep but the face of his stepbrother was coming infront of him again and again moreover his scent was spread all around his room which was making his wolf Crazy.

He tried to shrugged his thoughts but he can't.

At last He wear his shirt but didn't bothered to close the buttons, after taking out something from his drawer he made his way towards the bedroom of his stepbrother.

Standing in the dark room, he watched the Omega sleeping under the soft moonlight. The Omega looks so peaceful and serene, and the Alpha feels a deep sense of affection and protectiveness towards them. The moment feels very intimate to him, as if they are the only two people in the world.

He sat on his knees near his bed and took his burnt hand softly not wanting to get caught by waking him up. He then carefully applied an ointment in the burnt area, the omega pouted in sleep which got noticed by the Alpha as he was staring at his face only.

He stood up after applying but he don't know why he felt a sudden urge to stare the face of the Omega from little closer.

He leaned closer to his face looks like almost hovering above him. His face was blank his eyes showed no emotions.

But...

"Ethereal." He whispered admiring his face.

In sleep the pout of the Omega got bigger which looks more adorable.

The Alpha gulped he felt like his throat run dry, before he could do any anything wrong he pulled away clenching his jaw in anger.

"I put this ointment because I wasn't sure if you burn your hand because of me but now I'm back and I promise I will make your life a living hell." He thought walking back to his room.

To be continue...
